We're excited to announce the release of cloudSwXtch Version 2.0.34. This update brings a host of new features, improvements, and bug fixes. Here’s a glimpse at the changes:
Here’s what’s new:
swXtch.io on more platforms: Now, you can deploy cloudSwXtch on Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud. For setup, see our easy guides for a Cloud-agnostic cloudSwXtch VM Install for GCP and cloudSwXtch BYOL on OCI. Note, you’ll need a license from us for installations on both platforms.
Streamlined networking: We’ve made it easier to set up your cloudSwXtch and xNIC network with a new single-subnet configuration. Check out the System Requirements for cloudSwXtch and xNIC for more info.
Improvements, we’ve got ‘em:
Better Usability in wXcked Eye: We’ve made Protocol Fanout configuration easier to use and added a new tab for Stream and Node Aliases. Plus, you can now rename High Availability paths directly in the UI, and we’ll alert you if your cloudSwXtch license is about to expire or has expired.
Enhanced Navigation: We’ve improved zoom scrolling in the wXcked Eye Network Graph and added warning messages in High Availability and Mesh settings pages to remind you of the exclusivity of these two configurations.
Expanded SMPTE 2022-7 Support: See High Availability under Configuring cloudSwXtch for more details.
Updates to API: In case you missed it, we’ve updated our Monitoring and Configuration APIs in v2.0.10.
Added Support:
We now support Ubuntu 22.04 with xNIC2 as the default and have added support for Amazon Linux 2 and Linux 2023.
